The child is emotionally safe, but parents may have conflict or poor communication or when

The adults may need help with communication, boundaries, or routines
The Contact arrangements are new, re-starting, or need structure.

Typical Features

✔️ Short Waitlists
✔️ Staff present but not actively supervising every interaction
✔️ Neutral venue (not one parent’s home)
✔️ Planned handovers to reduce conflict (at the venue)

✔️ Focus on the child’s comfort and wellbeing
✔️ Sessions may be time-limited while parents build confidence or depending on the age of the child/ren

What It Is Not

❌ Not for cases involving domestic abuse, substance misuse, or serious safeguarding concerns
❌ Not court-ordered supervision for high-risk cases

❌ Not a Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner

❌ Not a Trained Mediator

Who Uses Low-Risk Services

Those who want to skip lengthy wait lists from Government providers
Separated parents with ongoing tension
Families re-establishing contact after a break
Situations where courts or solicitors recommend supported contact not focussed heavily on supervised contact

Our goal is to:

1. Help families move toward unsupervised contact
2. Build trust and routine
3. Keep the child out of conflict

Note - CCSs are independent and are not bound to provide a service, even if expressly ordered by a court.
